Matt Bauer is a self taught photographer who's only filter is following his passions. After completing his collegiate Division 1 swimming career with a degree in advertising, Matt left the east coast to chase his dreams on the west coast.
Matt broke down the stereotypes of what a surf obsessed youth from Philadelphia could do. Matt immersed himself in the Southern California lifestyle as the Online Editor at Skateboarder Magazine and Surfing Magazine. Matt next took the role as Digital Marketing Manager at Rip Curl, driving the North America website, social media accounts, product photography, and launching their first E-Commerce platform. Next, Matt moved to Los Angeles to lead digital across all categories for Nike in the West Territory. Matt's passion for storytelling was amplified by working with the greatest athletes and translating their stories through the digital landscape.
After an unforgettable experience at Nike, Matt left to pursue his entrepreneurial passion co-founding ROSEWOOD, a boutique social media agency in Venice, CA. Matt's focus at ROSEWOOD is defining how clients including, Apple, Red Bull, Toyota, Sony, Interscope and Nike can create emotionally engaging content across digital and social media accounts to drive business results.
Through all of this, Matt's desire to be behind the lens has pushed him to define and expand his ability as a commercial photographer.
