Matt Bauer is one of two Managing Partners of ROSEWOOD, overseeing Creative, Production, and Strategy. After completing his collegiate Division 1 swimming career as team captain with a degree in advertising, Matt left the east coast to chase his dreams on the west coast.
Matt broke down the stereotypes of what a surf obsessed youth from Philadelphia could do. Matt immersed himself in the Southern California lifestyle as the Online Editor at Skateboarder Magazine and Surfing Magazine. Matt next accepted the role as Digital Marketing Manager at Rip Curl, driving the North America website, social media accounts, product photography, and launching their first E-Commerce platform.
Next, Matt moved to Los Angeles to lead digital across all categories for Nike in the West Territory. Matt's passion for storytelling was amplified by working with the greatest athletes and translating their stories through the digital landscape. While at Nike, Matt was one of six selected from the North America organization (15,000+) to represent the next generation of Nike leadership through a eight month stretch program focused on redefining leadership within the company. Through working directly with the North American executive leadership team this initiative was rolled out across the entire NA team.
After an unforgettable experience at Nike, Matt left to pursue his entrepreneurial passion co-founding ROSEWOOD, the next generation creative agency and production company that manages social strategy and content for tier one brands. Matt's focus at ROSEWOOD is defining how clients including, Apple, AEG Presents, Netflix and Red Bull can create emotionally engaging content across digital and social media to drive culture, innovation, and results.
